No fewer than 28 of our current team of lawyers began life at Gosschalks as a trainee, 16 of whom are now partners. With the firm growing year on year, we’re always looking for future solicitors, partners and leaders to join us. As the firm continues to expand we are intending to recruit 3 new trainee solicitors to start in September 2027.Our initial selection criteria requires applicants to have achieved at least three A to C grades at A-Level or equivalent and to have achieved or be predicted at least a 2:1 in their degree. We expect our staff to be motivated and enthusiastic, and we look for these qualities in our work experience students.Unlike some firms, we do not believe that work experience should involve photocopying or making tea! You will work on real client matters alongside our trainees, solicitors and lawyers by getting involved in drafting documents, conducting research, meeting clients and going to court.Our programme is organised to allow you to spend time in each of the firm's core departments to experience the sort of work we do.
