Solicitor Apprenticeship (non graduate) from September 2025 at TLT

Deadline 13 January 2025The programme is aimed at school leavers, with the next intake joining our London office in September 2025. We recruit in Bristol and London in alternate years and so the following intake will join our Bristol office in September 2026.The six-year programme combines learning and study to help our apprentices develop key skills whilst growing their legal knowledge. Apprentices spend one day a week studying with The University of Law towards a law degree and the solicitors qualifying exams. All university and exams fees are paid for by the firm and you will earn a salary throughout the programme.&nbsp;The first year is spent within our legal matter support team, followed by three 12-month placements within different legal teams before joining the training contract rotation for the final two years. This structure allows apprentices to gain an in-depth understanding of many different areas of law prior to qualification.Our solicitor apprenticeship (level 7) helps build the foundations of a successful career as a solicitor, with the training and support you'll need to excel.&nbsp; Recruitment for our solicitor apprenticeship commences with an online application form, followed by an online assessment.&nbsp;The University of Law requires candidates to have 5 GCSEs including Maths &amp; English at grade 4 or above.&nbsp; You will also need A Levels at grade CCC (predicted or obtained) or equivalent qualifications.&nbsp;Shortlisted candidates will then be invited to an assessment day at our London office in February during which we’ll get to know each other.During the assessment day there will be a variety of exercises designed to help us see if you’re the right fit for RPC and, while they might be challenging, they’re also a lot of fun. Application deadline: Wednesday 11th December 2024.Applications for the 2025 Solicitor Apprenticeship Programme are open between Tuesday 1st October 2024 - Wednesday 11th December 2024.As part of the assessment programme, shortlisted candidates will be invited to participate in an assessed week of paid work experience from Monday 14th April - Friday 18th April 2025.Overview of the Programme The Mishcon Solicitor Apprenticeship is a six year programme. You will gain an LLB (Hons) in Legal Practice from The University of Law and at the end of the programme you will qualify as a solicitor. All of your tuition fees will be paid and best of all, you will earn a salary whilst you are training and gaining your qualification.You will be based in our London office, working alongside leading lawyers across our six departments (Corporate; Dispute Resolution; Employment; Innovation; Private; and Real Estate). During the first four years you will complete four annual rotations and in the final two years you will join the graduate trainees and complete four six-month rotations. Throughout the six years you will be working for four days per week and spend one day studying with The University of Law.Qualification This apprenticeship will take six years to complete, however after four years you will have obtained an LLB. In the fifth and sixth year you will complete your Solicitors Qualifying Exams (SQE).Academic and competency training will be provided by The University of Law: The ULaw solicitor apprenticeship programme aims to equip apprentices with a thorough understanding of the core legal subjects and combine them with an in-depth practical application.<ul><li>A combination of work-based and online supervised study, together with practical and academic activities at ULaw campuses will prepare apprentices to undertake the new Solicitors Qualifying Exam Parts 1 and 2 which entitles them to apply to the SRA to be admitted as solicitors at the end of the programme.</li><li>Apprentices will also complete ULaw assessments, providing them with the opportunity to be awarded an LLB in Legal Practice and Skills (Hons) from ULaw.
