Job Overview: 

As a Paralegal in our legal team at Au Vodka, you will provide essential support to the team, ensuring that all legal and compliance matters are handled efficiently and accurately. You will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including legal research, document preparation, and assisting with contract management. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in legal services, exceptional organisational skills, and a keen eye for detail.

Although this new role is noted as temporary, the successful candidate will be assessed with a view to hire them on a permanent basis.

Key Responsibilities

  • Legal Research: Conduct thorough legal research and analysis on various legal issues, including regulatory requirements, compliance standards, and intellectual property laws.
  • Document Preparation: Draft, review, and revise legal documents, including contracts, agreements, policies, and correspondence.
  • Contract Management: Assist in the management of contracts, ensuring all agreements are accurately documented, filed, and adhered to.
  • Compliance Support: Help ensure the company complies with all relevant laws and regulations, including assisting with the development and implementation of compliance policies and procedures.
  • Administrative Duties: Maintain and organize legal files, databases, and records. Assist with scheduling meetings, preparing reports, and other administrative tasks as needed.§
  • Communication: Liaise with internal departments, external counsel, and regulatory bodies as required.
  • Project Assistance: Support special projects and initiatives within the legal department and across the company.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • Education: A bachelor's degree in LLB Degree
  • Experience: Minimum of 1 years of experience as a paralegal, preferably within the beverage, luxury goods, or consumer products industry.
  • Skills:
    • Strong knowledge of legal principles, procedures, and practices.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Proficiency in legal research tools and databases.
    • High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Strong organizational and time management skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
