About the Role
As part of your training contract, you will be fully involved in the provision of legal services to clients and perform tasks such as research, drafting, negotiation and advice. FSREG mainly deals with investment funds, corporate and financial services matters but you may from time to time be asked to assist on other matters such as intellectual property, real estate, tax and litigation. You will also be involved in aspects related to the running of the firm such as marketing, recruitment and the development of new products and services.
Eligibility
To be considered for this position, you must have:
- a first or upper-second class qualifying bachelor’s degree in law (LLB) from a leading UK university; and
- a genuine interest in investment funds, corporate and financial services matters.
- being fluent in a foreign language and/or having completed the Legal Practice Course (LPC) are desirable but not necessary attributes.

- the English law aspects of mergers, acquisitions, IPOs, venture capital and other corporate transactions.
- the authorisation of financial services businesses by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) of the United Kingdom.
- the marketing of credit, investment, insurance and reinsurance products in the United Kingdom.
- the issuance of legal opinions on matters governed by English law.
- the review from an English law perspective of international contracts governed by English law.
