Mincoffs Solicitors is one of the North East’s leading corporate and commercial law firms, making it a fantastic place to start your legal career.

Consistently praised by both the Legal 500 and Chambers and Partners guides, our team boasts Top Tier departments and Leading Individuals and produces glowing client and connector testimonials, year on year.

Our clients are located across the UK and further afield, including the US, Thailand and India to name just a few, and work in a variety of sectors such as hospitality, technology, media and entertainment, manufacturing and healthcare.

With all that being said, perhaps the most important detail for those who are right at the start of their careers is the fact that we value our trainees and consider you an important part of the team from day one.

That means you’ll be working on cases with solicitors at the top of their fields, honing essential legal skills and gaining real client experience.

With a team of more than 100 and growing, we believe our culture is intrinsic to the success of the business and host regular staff drinks, brunches, clubs and events to give you the opportunity to mix with staff across the firm and at all stages of their careers.

We take on two trainees per year, who will spend six to eight months in three or four seats and cover a range of contentious and non-contentious experience.

While we will try our best to offer you exposure to the areas of law you are particularly interested in, this cannot be guaranteed.

Potential seats may include:

  • Corporate
  • Commercial Services
  • Real Estate
  • Dispute Resolution
  • Employment
  • Wills, Probate and Trusts
  • Family Law
