We are currently seeking an experienced legal administrator/ paralegal to provide support to the in-house legal team.
The legal team is small, comprising of the General Counsel and 5 Senior Legal Counsels, and aims to operate at a level equivalent to that of a FTSE 100 company Legal Team. All team members are very experienced, managing various individual workloads.
This role is to offer support to the General Counsel, as well as other legal team members on a variety of projects. The General Counsel reports directly to the CEO and the Chairman and is a member of ExCo.

This role is to offer support to the General Counsel, as well as other legal team members on a variety of projects. The General Counsel reports directly to the CEO and the Chairman and is a member of ExCo.
The type of tasks in support of the GC include:
- Work on executive governance guidelines for the Group, including continuous review of the governance manual
- Assisting with producing reports and presentations for internal and/ or external meetings
- Support on key ongoing projects, including attending meetings, communicating with external counsel and drafting Horizon Scanning of new regulation, including at times providing written notes/summaries of attended webinars
- Write first drafts, proof read and amend legal agreements, advice notes, letters and other documents
- Research legal and corporate governance issues
- Attend meetings, create agendas and take minutes (forward look at team agendas, including inviting external and internal guests)
- Hold the responsibility for the monthly litigation report
- Support lead lawyer on key projects
- Establish and maintain administrative systems and processes which ensure appropriate document storage and retrieval and f ile management
- Provide a professional diary/time management service, building in regular meetings, pre-meeting preparation and performance management responsibilities.
- Help manage and use PLC/LN relationship
- Administration support with invoice processing ensuring timely turnaround of invoices and purchase orders, both interal and external
- Manage the team Sharepoint pages
- Promote to the team the use of Intranet pages and technology upskilling projects, including seeking out new opportunities where appropriate.
This role would be suitable for an experienced Legal Assistant or a Law Graduate seeking experience within a legal team. The successful candidate will demonstrate the following
- Law degree, preferably with Masters qualification
- Experience in an administrative or paralegal role working with multiple stakeholders in a Corporate Law/Financial Services environment
- Outstanding written & spoken communication skills.
- Courteous and confident: able to deal effectively and professionally with people at all levels
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft 365 tools
- Desire to work in a Legal team
